This guided half-day Segway tour is designed for guests who want a more immersive way to experience Washington Island. Rather than focusing on a single area, the route spans multiple parts of the island, allowing time to explore its landscapes, landmarks, and quieter roads at a relaxed, steady pace. The experience begins on the mainland in Northport, where training and orientation take place before boarding the ferry together. Once on the island, the tour unfolds gradually, with regular stops and natural breaks built in so the day feels unhurried and well-balanced.

You’ll meet your guide on the mainland in Northport, where the group gets oriented for the day. Your guide fits everyone with helmets, explains how the experience will flow, and answers any questions before training begins.
Each guest completes calm, unhurried Segway training on the mainland before the island portion of the tour. Training is thorough and supportive, giving everyone time to feel comfortable and confident before boarding the ferry together.
Once the group is ready, you’ll board the ferry with your guide and Segways for the crossing to Washington Island. This transition is part of the experience and allows everyone to settle in before the guided glide begins.

After picking up lunch, we have a picnic at Schoolhouse Beach.

Great time as always! 4th time and different places! Sheboygan will be next! Green Bay, Stadium, peninsula Park and now Washington Island! It all started in Nashville! Added an entry into the guest book at the Wooden Church! (Last one in the book)

We have gone on quite a few Segway tours. This one by far, the 1/2 day Washington Island tour, was the best. We met another great couple and Brian, our tour guide, was great! We are definitely coming back for more!
