Sheboygan, Manitowoc & Kohler Segway Tours
Guided Segway tours along the Lake Michigan shoreline — designed for FUN, discovery, distance, and variety across waterfront towns.
Segway Tours on Lake Michigan
Many visitors come to the Lake Michigan shoreline looking for beaches, scenic views, and a relaxing place to spend the afternoon. A guided Segway tour in Sheboygan offers a unique way to experience the coastline while exploring lakefront parks, trails, and the surrounding waterfront.
Located about an hour north of Milwaukee, Sheboygan makes an easy Lake Michigan day trip for visitors looking to get out of the city and enjoy the shoreline. While many travelers head straight for the beach, this guided ride offers a broader way to experience the area — combining lake views, waterfront paths, and quiet stretches of parkland into one relaxed outing.
After a short training session, the tour glides along sections of Sheboygan’s lakefront where Lake Michigan meets parks, beaches, and harbor views. The route allows guests to see more of the shoreline than they typically would on foot while still moving at a comfortable pace with time to stop and take in the scenery.
Families visiting the beach, couples on a day trip from Milwaukee, and travelers exploring the Lake Michigan coast often find the Segway tour becomes an unexpected highlight of their visit. The ride blends the open feel of the lakeshore with the simple fun of learning to ride a Segway.
For visitors searching for things to do on Lake Michigan near Milwaukee, this guided tour provides a memorable way to explore Sheboygan’s waterfront and experience the shoreline from a different perspective.
You're in the right place.
Can I do it?
Before every tour, guests receive hands-on training, time to practice at their own pace, and guidance throughout the ride. Most people find that once the tour begins, the focus shifts quickly from riding to exploring.
How long are these tours?
Most Lake Michigan Segway tours last about 2 hours, including training.
Tours are paced to feel comfortable rather than rushed, with regular stops built in to enjoy the scenery and talk about what you’re seeing.
What makes the Lake Michigan tours different
These tours are often described as “unexpected” in the best way.
Rather than staying in one small area, Lake Michigan tours are designed to:
Cover more ground comfortably
Combine waterfront views with working harbors, neighborhoods, and local history
Show how each town developed around the lake
Reveal places visitors often miss when driving through
Guests regularly mention being surprised by how much they see in a single tour.
Not sure which one to choose?
That’s common, especially if you haven’t visited these towns before.
If you enjoy:
Variety and discovery → Sheboygan
Distance and history → Manitowoc
Calm and design → Kohler
If you’re still unsure, feel free to call us and we’ll help match a tour to your interests and schedule.

This tour was fantastic! Brian, our tour guide, was excellent at showing us some cool things at Peninsula State Park and also teaching our kids how to be safe and confident on a Segway. Our 11 year old was a little nervous, and he was patient and wonderful with her, always making sure he could grab her Segway when we were going up and down a steeper hill. It was so much fun and it's definitely something we will do again on a future trip!

Sheboygan Arts & Lakefront Segway Tour
Experience Sheboygan from the water’s edge to the heart of the city on a Segway ride filled with lake views, local art, maritime history, and plenty of fun along the way. After a little training and practice, you’ll glide along the Lake Michigan shoreline, explore both sides of the Sheboygan River, and cruise through neighborhoods and waterfront areas that show off very different sides of the city. Along the way, you’ll see the harbor, lighthouse views, public art, and places connected to Sheboygan’s long maritime history. Your guide will share stories about shipwrecks, lifesaving efforts, local history, and the creative side of the city. There are also plenty of stretches where you can simply enjoy riding the Segway — along the water, through open paths, and between the different stops that make this route so varied. It’s a fun mix of Lake Michigan scenery, art, history, and Segway riding — and a memorable way to discover Sheboygan beyond the beach.

Glide through the beautifully designed Village of Kohler on a Segway tour that combines distinctive architecture, landscaped streets, green spaces, and plenty of enjoyable riding. After a little training and practice, you’ll head out through the village, passing some of Kohler’s best-known landmarks and enjoying the tree-lined streets and thoughtfully planned surroundings that make this community so unique. Along the way, you’ll see places such as the American Club, village green spaces, and areas next to the Sheboygan River while your guide shares stories about the Kohler family, the company, and how this remarkable village developed. The Segway is a particularly fun way to explore Kohler because you can move easily between the different areas while still being out in the open and able to appreciate the landscaping, architecture, and details you might miss from a car. It’s a fun combination of Segway riding, local history, beautiful surroundings, and one of Wisconsin’s most distinctive communities.

Manitowoc Maritime & Lakefront Segway Tour
Explore Manitowoc’s Lake Michigan waterfront on a Segway ride filled with harbor views, Great Lakes history, and plenty of fun along the way. After a little training and practice, you’ll head out along the shoreline and harbor, cruising waterfront paths with open views of Lake Michigan. The route gives you plenty of room to enjoy riding the Segway while discovering a city shaped by ships, shipbuilding, and life on the Great Lakes. Along the way, you’ll pass near the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and USS Cobia, see the harbor and marina, and learn about Manitowoc’s important role in shipbuilding and wartime history. Depending on the day, you may even see the S.S. Badger in port or making its way across Lake Michigan. The ride also connects with portions of the scenic lakeshore and Mariners Trail, giving you stretches where you can simply cruise, enjoy the water, and take in the views. It’s a fun combination of Segway riding, Lake Michigan scenery, and fascinating maritime history — and a great way to discover why Manitowoc’s connection to the water runs so deep.
