Our Segway tours along the Fox River are designed to be easy to enjoy, even for first-time riders. Each experience is fully guided from start to finish and includes unhurried training, a comfortable pace, and personal guidance throughout the ride.
Routes are chosen for scenery and flow, allowing you to explore riverwalks, downtown streets, neighborhood corridors, and waterfront areas without rushing or navigating on your own.
Most guests are first-time Segway riders. Training is calm and supportive, and your guide stays nearby before and during the tour so you can focus on exploring rather than figuring things out.

How long are these tours?
Core (about 1.5 to 2 hours)
The Appleton and Neenah tours offer a balanced experience with river views, downtown areas, and neighborhood streets — all paced to feel steady and manageable.
Core – Shorter (about 1 to 1.5 hours)
The De Pere tour provides a similar guided, riverfront experience in a slightly shorter format, making it a good fit if you prefer a relaxed pace with a bit less time commitment.
Each location offers its own setting and personality, but the structure remains consistent: fully guided, beginner-friendly, and comfortably paced from start to finish.

Is this hard to ride?
Most guests feel unsure at first, then quickly notice how stable and responsive the Segway is. Training is unhurried, and your guide stays nearby to help fine-tune and build confidence.
Can I take photos?
Yes, and your guide is happy to help take photos during the tour and will share them afterward.
What if it rains?
Light rain is usually fine and ponchos are provided. If weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule or offer a full refund.

What should I wear?
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing works best. Flat, closed-toe shoes if you have them — but don’t worry if you don’t. No special gear needed.

Mark is a very entertaining guild and a great instructor. My wife and I went on a two day get away for fall colors and booked our first ever Segway adventure. I highly recommend the Peninsula State Park Segway tour period, but if you do get Mark as your guild tell him hello and enjoy your experience.

Such a fun experience! The Segways were easy to learn and our tour guide, Nick, made sure we felt comfortable before we started. The tour was the perfect mix of history, local stories and beautiful views. We got to see way more than we would've on foot and cruising is way more fun! It definitely was the highlight of our day.

We did the Sheboygan tour with Al, and he was very friendly and knowledgable. I got to learn about different cool spots in the city, and of course the view of Lake Michigan was amazing. Riding the Segway was so much fun, and I really appreciate that Al prioritized our safety and made sure everyone in the group was comfortable with it before riding out. He was very considerate going at our pace and pointing out every single bumps on the roads. Definitely made a lot of memorable memories with him. Highly recommend!

We met up with Nick very soon after our arrival on the SS Badger coming from Ludington. We have operated Segway's numerous times, but still Nick was very thorough in his explanation and demonstration of safe operation. Then off we went. This was an excellent two hours. First, it was FUN! Beyond the fun it was informative. We had no idea of the historical significance of Manitowoc in terms of ship building and the war effort during WW I and WW II . This could easily be expanded to 3 hours by extending the ride along the waterfront all the way to Two Rivers, incorporating an optional stop at the bright pink ice cream shop! We did ride our bikes to Two Rivers and back. The Mariner's Trail is a lovely path this tour takes. Makes this excursion not just fun, but scenically beautiful as well. We highly recommend doing the Segway tour with Segway the Door.

My husband and I love Segway tours, so we were excited when we read about this tour company in the local newspaper offering tours in our new hometown of Neenah, WI ! Our tour was a great way to explore our new surroundings! We traveled trails along the Fox River, Little Lake Butte Des Morts and Lake Winnebago and learned about the local Native American tribes traditions in the area and their influence on Neenah/Menasha. We toured old neighborhoods passing by stately mansions built in the 1800's and early 1900's by the "paper barons" who helped develop the community. We also learned about the Bergstrom family's continued commitment to enrich the Neenah community. Along the way we stopped by historical sites and traveled through beautiful park areas. Our tour guide, Lonnie was fantastic, just a great guy. We had the best time!

They advertise a continental breakfast but it’s just a few small boxes of small variety of cereal. A half a gallon of milk for everyone to share. Few bagels, a few English muffins and some small yogurt’s one flavor, peach. And that’s about it. We were there for four days and let the little’s get a small box of cereal to hold them over until we got them someplace for breakfast. But they’d run out and not restock. Continental breakfast should be taken off their amenities! They let you know they do not do room service. You have to request it! Our hotel room was not very clean. Killed a couple spiders as well. I don’t blame what little staff they have, but the company going chintzy and cheap as possible, and obviously cutting corners where ever they can!

We had a wonderful time on our Segway Tour in Peninsula State Park. We stopped frequently to enjoy the views. This would be a good trip for beginners, as the safety instructions were excellent.

Our group of 7 loved the Peninsula Park Segway Tour! Our guide, Mark, was fantastic! He was friendly, funny, engaging and was very knowledgeable about the history and flora and fauna of Peninsula State Park.
